The social network TikTok has been very heavily blocking Ukrainian content related to the full-scale Russian invasion.

Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Alexander Bornyakov explained this by the fact that we used to belong to a "region" associated with Russia. He spoke about this on the air of 24 channel.

According to him, just recently, TikTok moved us to the European "region".

By the way, this happens to many companies that understand that we can no longer be in the same "region" with Russia,

TikTok has now transferred us to a new "region" where we will communicate with new people. I think this will improve the situation. It seems to me that this blocking was since we belonged to the "region" (with Russia)

Reports that TikTok was supposedly going to return to the Russian market turned out to be false. The company has officially denied this intention.

TikTok has disappeared from the Russian App Store. Previously, 6982 applications for iPhone and iPad were removed from the service.
