The dating app Tinder will cease its operations in Belarus, as announced by the service's press office.

Match Group brands, including Tinder, are taking steps to shut down their services in Belarus. With this, access to Tinder in Belarus will end on February 15.

"Until this date, you will still be able to meet and communicate with other users," stated the service's press release.

Tinder's press office also warned that paid subscriptions will not be automatically renewed. However, users who have paid for six months or one-year subscriptions will be able to request a refund.

The official reason for Tinder's withdrawal from Belarus has not been disclosed.

It's worth noting that at the end of June 2023, the dating app ceased its operations in Russia. In the company's statement, it was emphasized that Match Group is "committed to protecting human rights." A representative from Friends Fiduciary Corp, a shareholder of Match Group, directly stated that Tinder's withdrawal is linked to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
