In Odessa, bathing and recreational zones have officially been opened, as announced by the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper.

"We have signed a joint order with the Commander of the Operational Strategic Group of Troops 'Odessa' regarding public access to the sea," Kiper wrote in his Telegram channel on Saturday.

The head of the administration added that the initially opened areas include the Kaletón Beach, an inclusive beach, the municipal beach (in the 14th Fontanka district), the "Ikra" Beach, the "Chaika" Beach, the municipal beach (in the 10th Fontanka district). However, the list will be expanded as checks are completed.

People are allowed on the beaches from 08:00 to 20:00.

"During air alerts, the discovery of suspicious items, storms of 2 points and above, on coastal structures (piers, traverses, breakwaters), and outside the designated bathing areas, people's presence is prohibited," emphasized the head of the administration.

In addition, it is mandatory to have a rescue boat and mesh barriers for protection against explosive items in the open bathing areas.

"If necessary, surveys of the underwater and surface areas of the Black Sea should be organized by the diving service," Kiper added.

Daily cleaning of the coastline will be conducted on the beaches if there is no emergency situation. Access to the Black Sea waters is permitted only for rescue services.
