The chamber choir of the Lviv National Opera and conductor Vadym Yatsenko will perform at the top of the works of Ukrainian classical composer Dmytro Bortnyansky, namely his spiritual choral concerts. The unique genre for choral virtuoso performance, which has no analogs in Western European music, has received a bright development in the works of Ukrainian composers and is a unique achievement in the history of culture.
The concert will be broadcast live from the heart of Lviv - an ancient baroque church, which is the Garrison Church and the center of pastoral care of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.
Our singing will also be our prayer for the defenders of Ukraine, in particular, the soldiers of the Azov Batallion, who heroically defended the Azovstal plant in Mariupol for more than two months and are now in captivity in the territory controlled by the Russian army.
The project's main mission is to preserve the national musical heritage and its promotion in the world cultural space, as well as a charitable mission. All funds will be used to support the Ukrainian people and culture during the war, particularly for the needs of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the western region, which requires the purchase of resuscitation equipment.
