An employee of PMC "Wagner" and an employee of the FSB asked for political asylum from France.
Vladimir Osechkin, founder of the human rights project Gulagu.net, told The Insider about this.
"One person is related to the work of [Yevgeny] Prigozhin's headquarters and team, while the other is an FSB officer. ⦠Now each of them will testify about war crimes, and hopefully, theyâll have the opportunity to cooperate with the international investigation and testify against Yevgeny Prigozhin and others from the Putin regime. A major foreign TV channel is doing a piece on one of the testimonies," Osechkin said.
He also noted that both were on the same plane, and each thought the other had been sent for him.
âBoth simultaneously went to ask for political asylum and international protection, it looked very strange - each of them decided that the second one was here for him. The French police and airport security also had suspicions, the situation is non-standard,â Osechkin said.
The human rights activist also said that the FSB officer "has a rather serious insider, connected with the document flow, with a lot of important information."
"And in connection with the invasion of Ukraine, and on the processes taking place recently through the department of counterintelligence and the Ministry of Defense," he added.
