Ukrainian-language audio guides have been launched in two more museums in Turkey, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska announced.
The guides are now available at the Istanbul Archaeological Museums—the first official museum in the history of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey, which houses nearly 1 million artifacts—and at the Troy Museum in the city of Çanakkale.
“Although the historical existence of Troy was proven thanks to the persistence of lone enthusiasts like Heinrich Schliemann, the museum bearing its name is the result of more than a century of work by hundreds of scholars. This is another important lesson from history: great goals are not achieved by individuals alone. In Ukraine, we understand this well as we defend our country from an aggressor, and we deeply value cooperation with our Turkish friends,” the President’s wife stated.
In total, there are now 99 Ukrainian-language audio guides across 52 countries—ten of them in Turkey.
“Most of these guides have been launched over the past three years—during Ukraine’s defense. And that is symbolic: our language is being defended along with us. It is present wherever Ukrainians are,” Olena Zelenska emphasized.
