The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent a plane with humanitarian aid to Ukraine as part of a USD 100 million support program. The cargo is intended for the residents of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions - people in this region will receive warm clothes and hygiene products. This happened immediately after a visit to the United Arab Emirates by a Ukrainian delegation headed by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

"On behalf of the whole of Ukraine, I would like to thank the United Arab Emirates for their assistance in this difficult time. This is an important support for many people who need heat and other vital things after the liberation of the territories from the invaders," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to her, the team of the State Property Fund of Ukraine will distribute the aid among the recipients.

Background

The United Arab Emirates continues to support Ukraine within the framework of the approved USD 100 million program. The country has already sent 2,500 generators to Ukraine, which were delivered to the 10 most affected regions of Ukraine in the east and south. These generators are now providing backup power to critical and social infrastructure in these regions - they have been installed in schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, and heating stations.
