The United Kingdom will accelerate deliveries of Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM) to Ukraine, which are capable of intercepting jet-powered drones, according to the British government.
The announcement is expected today during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to London, where he will meet British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
Ukraine is expected to receive more than 5,000 LMM missiles over the next four years.
London will also fast-track the allocation of £10 million (approximately $13.26 million) from an assistance package due to be announced today.
The new aid package is intended to address Ukraine's most urgent needs during the coming winter.
