Ukraine downs 120 Russian Shahed drones in massive night attack

On the night of September 2 (starting at 7:00 p.m. on September 1), the Russian forces launched an attack using 150 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups.

According to preliminary data as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 120  Shahed drones and various decoy UAVs over the north, south, east, and central regions of the country.

Thirty strike drones hit nine locations, and debris from downed UAVs fell in five additional areas.
