In the night of July 30 (from 10:30 pm on July 29), the Russian forces launched an attack with 78 Shahed strike drones and various types of drone imitators from the directions of Orel, Kursk, and Hvardiyske — occupied territory of Crimea.
A notable feature of the night attack was the use of up to 8 rocket drones in the northern direction.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile forces, electronic warfare units and drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 9:00 am, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 51 drones in the north and east of the country.
There were 27 drone strikes recorded in 7 locations, and debris from downed drones fell in 2 locations.
