After Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy system were restored, Ukraine received 184 shipments of humanitarian aid in the form of energy equipment, totaling 2,335.8 tons.
"The aid was provided by 14 countries, namely Austria, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates," announced the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine on Friday.
Among the received equipment are transformers, solar panels, generators, electric motors, gas pipes, cables, and other necessary items for repairs.
"We greatly appreciate the support of our partners who are assisting the Ukrainian energy sector during these difficult times. The provided equipment is being used for repairs and restoration of facilities that continue to be heavily shelled by the enemy," said Herman Halushchenko, the head of the Ministry of Energy, as quoted by the department.
According to the ministry, approximately 1,900 tons of the received equipment have already been distributed among 57 energy companies affected by Russian attacks.
