Ukrainian forces have struck 13 vessels allegedly belonging to Russia’s so-called “shadow fleet” over a 48-hour period, according to Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.
“MoLoChKa: +13 (196 in total) shadow fleet vessels have been warned by fire over 48 hours on July 21–22 about the undesirability of operating in the waters of the Azov and Black seas in the interests of the aggressor state,” Brovdi wrote.
The reported targets included one tanker, ten bulk carriers, and two tugboats.
Brovdi also said that Ukrainian drones struck 13 energy facilities, including power hubs and electrical substations, in occupied Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories during the same period.
Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russia’s “shadow fleet” of being used to bypass international sanctions by transporting Russian oil, petroleum products, and other resources, while also supporting the logistical needs of the Russian military.
