The State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine is exploring opportunities to expand the range of Ukrainian products allowed for export to China.

Oleh Osiian, First Deputy Head of the Service, discussed this during meetings with Chinese partners at the 6th International BIOEASY Seminar on Food Safety in China. The event served as a platform for sharing expertise, learning global best practices, and establishing business contacts between Ukrainian and Chinese companies.

Osiian emphasized that the Service continues to create new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, supporting the development of the agricultural sector and boosting the country’s economic potential. Work is underway on five new protocols that will significantly expand Ukraine’s export possibilities to China:

  • Wheat flour
  • Pet food
  • Poultry meat (export/import)
  • Beef (expanded range)
  • Corn (updated requirements)

The Service also reminded that in 2025, the Chinese market has already opened for Ukrainian peas and wild-caught aquatic products.
