Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, held talks with a delegation from the Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency (AMOS) of the Czech Ministry of Defense, accompanied by leading Czech defense companies.
"We are strengthening defense cooperation with the Czech Republic. We discussed specific steps to accelerate support deliveries from the Czech Republic and expand our interaction," stated Ukraine's Minister of Defense.
The Minister highlighted the significant contribution of the Czech government and defense companies to Ukraine's security. During the meeting, the parties focused on key areas where Ukraine already has productive collaboration with AMOS, including:
- Production and supply of large-caliber ammunition
- Exchange of military technologies
- Development of industrial cooperation between Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
"We are launching new joint projects to strengthen our troops on the front line. One of them is the production of rifles under the Danish funding model. Some of this weaponry is already being produced in the Czech Republic, and we are negotiating the localization of production in Ukraine," said Rustem Umerov.
