With support from the European Union, Ukraine will modernise training centres of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence has announced.
“The project will cover several locations used for military training. It will include improvements to living conditions, infrastructure development and upgrades to existing training facilities. The main goal is to create modern environments where military personnel can receive high-quality training that takes real combat experience into account,” the ministry said on Telegram.
The project will be implemented under the auspices of EU institutions. The Come Back Alive Foundation will be responsible for its implementation in close cooperation with Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.
All partner countries will be able to contribute to financing the modernisation of the training grounds. Denmark will administer the funds and has previously allocated around €33 million to modernise one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ training centres.
