Ukraine has received $2.2 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram.

"Ukraine has received $2.2 billion from the IMF. This is part of the $16 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. Ukraine has completed important domestic work to receive these funds and successfully passed the fourth program review — a first in our bilateral relations with the IMF," he informed.

Shmyhal noted that the transferred amount will assist the government in financing critical budget expenditures, social assistance, and paying salaries to healthcare workers and teachers.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and her team for their significant and steadfast support of Ukraine.
