The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, in the Weapon Components section of the War&Sanctions portal, published the design of the universal multi-platform gliding munition UMBP D-30SN, as well as data on 36 enterprises involved in its production cooperation.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Intelligence.

The UMBP is a precision-guided aerial munition (guided gliding bomb) with an integrated warhead equivalent to the FAB-250 bomb. Its internal modules and components are similar to those used in UMPK modules, including the autopilot module – S.M.A.R.T. Carriers of the D-30SN bomb can include Su-34, Su-30SM, Su-35, Su-24 aircraft, and the S-70 Okhotnik UAV. Its operational range is up to 100 km (when deployed from an altitude of 12–15 km).

Preliminary data indicate that the UMBP can also be launched from ground platforms, specifically the 300 mm “Tornado-S” multiple rocket launchers, using a booster engine.

To operate under electronic warfare conditions, the UMBP’s navigation system includes a satellite navigation system with an adaptive antenna array (CRPA) – “Kometa-M8,” already familiar from other Russian systems.

The patent holder and main organizer of UMBP production is the Russian corporation Tactical Missile Armament, with the primary manufacturer being a company within the AT Concern Granit-Electron corporation.

“Dozens of enterprises involved in UMBP D-30SN production are long known for their connections to Russia’s military-industrial complex and are already under sanctions by most countries in the sanction coalition. However, some manufacturers and suppliers of components for this Russian aerial bomb have so far remained outside the scope of sanctions policy, and therefore continue to have access to foreign components, equipment, and technologies,” the Ukrainian intelligence noted.

The War&Sanctions portal continues to identify Russian defense industry targets to further restrict its capabilities.
