The company's founder Victoria Yakusha announced this on Facebook.
"We at Yakusha have started working on the concept of development and reconstruction of Chernihiv - one of the oldest cities in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. This is our contribution, and we want to make Chernihiv - a city where you want to come, where you want to live.
The architect is building the future. Patching holes without an in-depth analysis of the master plan and understanding of the city's DNA can lead to even more significant difficulties. That our next generations will work on rebuilding and rebuilding what we will leave them now.
Speaking of reconstruction during the war, we must imagine a new Ukraine for those currently fighting for its existence. Architecture that is created around man, his comfort, his free movement and reflects the bright future that unites us in our struggle. That is why it is necessary to start with a strategy, offer a vector of city development, maintain its identity, create an architectural code with the features of the region and elements of cultural heritage, and involve the community. This is a special project for me.
The fame of Chernihiv dates back to the times of Kievan Rus. The city often bravely defended itself from enemies who tried to destroy it, but its ancient history has survived. This gave birth to the project concept: Chernihiv is a sustainable city, and a city of sustainable spirit and sustainable development.
We presented our vision of decisions within the concept of the master plan to the mayor, Atroshenko Vladislav, and we will gradually share it on the page Yakusha.design, finalize and detail it to a full-scale master plan.
Of course, this is a great work, not of one team, and not only architects but IT specialists, marketers, graphic designers, historians, so who wants to join the project, write to me, "- writes Victoria Yakusha.
