The project 'Ukrainian Literature in Comics,' supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, represents a new interactive approach to the study of Ukrainian literary heritage from different historical periods. Each period takes into account contemporary socio-cultural and ideological challenges.
The first part of the catalog in 2022 included five artistic works with illustrations, quotes, and a selection of useful references. This included 'Kateryna' by Taras Shevchenko, 'Zahar Berkut' by Ivan Franko, 'Kaidasheva Family' by Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky, and others.
This year, the catalog has expanded with an additional 15 works, including 'Ukraine in Flames' by Oleksandr Dovzhenko, 'Stone Cross' by Vasyl Stefanyk, 'Natalka Poltavka' by Ivan Kotliarevsky, 'Chorna Rada' by Panteleimon Kulish, 'Tigerhunters' by Ivan Bahrianyi, and more. For each artistic work, there is a corresponding assessment that tests knowledge of the content. Additionally, a collection of interesting facts that are not typically covered in school has been compiled.
