During the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Rome, JSC Ukreximbank and SACE S.p.A.—an Italian financial and insurance group owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance—signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in priority economic sectors and jointly seeking effective financial solutions.
The purpose of the document is to establish a foundation for cooperation that provides mutual benefits through joint efforts and constructive consultations.
The Memorandum outlines the strengthening of the partnership between the parties, particularly in the agricultural sector, technology, chemical industry, and transport sectors.
It serves as a framework for mutually beneficial cooperation through bilateral consultations and identification of operations of shared interest.
Under the Memorandum, the parties will explore opportunities for joint project financing, including through credit, insurance, and guarantee instruments. The document is valid for two years, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement.
“This Memorandum lays the groundwork for deepening Ukrainian-Italian economic cooperation. We greatly value SACE’s trust and are confident that combining our expertise will help implement investment projects that contribute to the sustainable recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s economy,” said Viktor Ponomarenko, Chairman of the Board of Ukreximbank.
