PJSC Ukrnafta is actively carrying out operations to intensify production with the involvement of external contractors, which has resulted in a 4.2-fold increase in the output at treated wells, with additional extraction of nearly 13,000 tons of oil and over 6 million cubic meters of gas.

"One of the most effective methods of intensification is hydraulic fracturing (HF). After its application, the permeability of the layers increases, and the productivity of the wells improves," the company stated in its press release.

Some operations are carried out by external partners. Specifically, out of 35 planned well operations with HF, an external contractor performed 33 HFs in eastern and western Ukraine. Over 20 wells are already operational.

"At more than 90% of the sites, the project’s additional production targets have been reached, and the success rate is 92%. Overall, total output has increased 4.2 times, from 71.8 to 303.7 tons per day. This resulted in additional extraction of over 12.7 thousand tons of oil and more than 6.4 million cubic meters of gas," said the CEO of Ukrnafta, Serhiy Koretsky.

The company added that, given the successful and positive results, the program will continue: in the first half of 2025, the external contractor plans 30 additional HFs.

Ukrnafta is the largest oil extraction company in Ukraine and operates the national network of gas stations. In March 2024, the company took over the management of Glusco's assets and now operates a total of 547 gas stations — 462 owned and 85 under management.

The company is implementing a comprehensive program for the restoration of activities and updating the format of its gas stations. Since February 2023, it has been issuing its own fuel vouchers and "NAFTACard" cards, which are sold to legal and physical entities through Ukrnafta-Postach.

Ukrnafta holds 92 special licenses for the industrial development of fields. It operates 1,832 oil and 154 gas extraction wells.

The largest shareholder of "Ukrnafta" is Naftogaz of Ukraine, with a 50%+1 share.
