"Ukroboronprom" will deliver several hundred UAVs to the Armed Forces by the end of the year

"Ukroboronprom" will supply several hundred drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the end of the current year.

The State Special Communications and Information Protection Service of Ukraine has placed an order for domestic drones as part of the "Army of Drones" project.

This information was shared by Yuriy Shchyhol, the head of State Special Communications and Information Protection Service of Ukraine.

According to him, the share of the State Concern "Ukrainian Defense Industry" (SC "UOP," formerly known as "Ukroboronprom") in the overall procurement volume for military needs within the "Army of Drones" project is increasing.

"From scratch, it has grown to the point that today we are buying from them. Zero was still in August. From August, from the moment we signed the first contract, and until today, the share of 'Ukroboronprom' has increased from one to several hundred drones that are already contracted. We plan to receive them by the end of the year," said Shchyhol.

He also added that "Ukroboronprom" is now working and producing things that it had never produced before "for decades."

"They started making FPV drones, long-range drones. We buy this product from them and supply it to the Armed Forces," said the head of the State Special Communications Service.
