Ukrzaliznytsia and Duisburger Hafen Aktiengesellschaft plan to launch regular container and container train services between Ukraine and the port of Duisburg this summer. A corresponding memorandum has already been signed.

Ukrzaliznytsia continues to develop new freight transportation services by rail to EU countries. Through collaboration with the world's largest inland river port, the company will be able to offer a completely new door-to-door service for Ukrainian and European clients. The first train from the CTS Lisky terminal to the port of Duisburg will depart this summer.

The service will accept all types of cargo transported by rail or road transport. Choosing this new service, clients will benefit from clear predictions of final transportation costs and delivery times, as the train will proceed without queues at the border. Additionally, railways significantly reduce environmental pollution.

Despite being located relatively far from the sea, Duisburg port serves as a gateway to other European countries, the Middle East, and Africa. Located near the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr rivers, approximately 190 kilometers from the North Sea, Duisburg is not only Europe's but also the world's largest inland river port, housing 8 container terminals.
