Prosecutors of the Chernigiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported in absentia on suspicion of one of the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Due to improper conditions and cold in the school basement, 10 people died. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Investigators have identified the occupier, whose actions during the occupation of the village of Yagidne, Chernigiv region, from 3 to 30 March 2022 killed 10 people.
Before sending people to the basement, they were publicly undressed at sub-zero temperatures and inspected.
Russian soldiers then housed 350 locals in the school basement, which was unsuitable for long-term living: there was no access to fresh air, no lighting, no water supply, and no toilets.
People in the building were in unsanitary conditions, threatening their lives and health. Due to inhumane detention conditions, the ban on leaving the basement killed ten civilians.
