US fighter jets intercept Russian warplanes near Alaska

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, United States Air Force fighter jets intercepted four Russian military aircraft in the Alaska area. We are talking about the Tu-95, Su-30 and Su-35.

According to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter US or Canadian sovereign airspace.

On February 14, 2023, two Dutch F-35 fighters intercepted a group of three Russian military aircraft near Poland. We are talking about the Russian Il-20M, which was accompanied by two Su-27s.

In October 2022, American F-16 fighters spotted, tracked, identified, and intercepted two Russian Tu-95 Bear-H bombers near Alaska. Russian aviation entered and operated in the US air defense identification zone.
