Russia is actively preparing for a possible military conflict with NATO.

Deputy Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Vadym Skibitskyi, stated this at the RBC-Ukraine forum 'Energy That Sustains Ukraine.'

“This is not just our assessment of military developments — it is confirmed by the documents we currently possess. When the Russian Minister of Defense presented Russia’s armament concept until 2036 in June, the very first point clearly stated that one of the main objectives of this concept is to prepare the armed forces of the Russian Federation for war with NATO by 2030,” he said.

At the same time, Skibitskyi noted that the Russian economy is already in a state of recession, despite the Kremlin’s attempts to conceal it.

More than 40% of Russia’s federal budget is being spent on the war.
