The 82nd Venice International Film Festival (August 27 – September 6)

On September 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., as part of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival La Biennale di Venezia, a "Ukrainian Day" will take place at the Biennale Match Point Arena. The event will consist of two parts.

The first part will feature a panel discussion where the international community will have an opportunity to learn more about contemporary Ukrainian cinema, explore the current state of Ukraine’s film industry, discover co-production opportunities, and discuss prospects for future collaboration with Ukraine.

Speakers will include:

  • Andrii Osipov – Head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency
  • Andrii Nohin – Head of the NGO "UkrKinoFest"
  • Kyrylo Zemlianyi – Director of the film "Unavailable", which is featured in the Orizzonti Short Films competition program at the Venice Film Festival
  • Representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy

The second part of the event will showcase 11 Ukrainian feature films currently at the “Work in Progress” stage.
