President Volodymyr Zelensky has outlined Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to strengthen sanctions on Russia, coordinate international pressure, and maintain key infrastructure and military resilience. Ukrainian authorities are preparing new measures targeting Russian military production and propaganda, aiming to gradually block all Russian entities contributing to the war. The President confirmed that Ukraine is aligning the European Union’s 19th sanctions package with domestic law, while Ukrainian diplomats encourage countries outside the EU to adopt similar measures.

“We are preparing new sanctions, including against targets in Russian military production and propaganda. We must gradually block all Russian entities working on the war,” Zelensky said, emphasizing that official decrees would be issued soon.

He also highlighted the preparation of the EU’s 20th sanctions package, noting that other countries will implement new measures.

Early assessments of U.S. sanctions against Russian oil companies suggest a significant impact, and Ukrainian authorities are closely monitoring potential loopholes.

Zelensky stressed, “This signal must be received clearly around the world — Russia must end its war, or its oil exports will face severe consequences.”

The President highlighted ongoing humanitarian and food security programs, such as Grain from Ukraine, and instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to focus on countries historically destabilized by Russia. “We must continue active external humanitarian policy, especially in the field of food security — this is natural for Ukraine,” he added.

On domestic infrastructure, Zelensky praised Ukraine’s railways for their role in sustaining citizens and the economy.

“The railway provides millions of Ukrainians and our economy with necessary resilience. I want to thank all Ukrainian railway workers — you truly work for Ukraine,” he said.

Regarding the frontlines, Zelensky reported that the most intense fighting continues on the Pokrovsk axis, where Russian forces are attempting to consolidate positions. Ukrainian troops maintain control in Kupiansk and continue multiple defensive and offensive operations on other axes. He noted that each successful action contributes to the overall defense of the country.

The President concluded by reaffirming Ukraine’s unified strategy: coordinated international sanctions, long-range operations, reconstruction, and the sustained strength of the armed forces to compel Russia to end the war.
