President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that there is not a single power plant in Ukraine’s energy system that has not been attacked by Russian forces.
He made the remarks during a press conference at the German-Ukrainian Economic Forum.
“Effectively, there is not a single ‘functioning’ power plant in Ukraine that hasn’t been affected by Russian strikes. But we fight, we restore, we work, we return electricity to the people, we return life,” Zelensky said.
He added that the pressure on the energy sector is difficult to withstand, but Ukraine strives to restore the energy system as quickly as possible after each attack.
Zelensky also noted that German companies are providing significant support to Ukraine in these efforts.
