Ukrainian forces are currently intercepting 57% of jet-powered drones, while the overall drone interception rate stands at 70%, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“The overall percentage of drones being shot down today is 70%. This includes both conventional and jet-powered Shaheds. But when it comes to jet-powered drones, unfortunately, the figure is lower — significantly lower than we need. For now, it is 57%,” Zelensky said in his evening address on Monday.
According to him, new interceptors designed to counter jet-powered drones are being actively tested, and some combat units are already using them. At the same time, the president said that certain aspects still need to be refined to ensure sufficient effectiveness and enable the interceptors to be deployed on a large scale.
“We are accelerating the work of the developers. Every week, we must see more concrete results in terms of drones being shot down along the interception lines,” Zelensky said.
