The Russians are trying to advance in the direction of Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

The epicenter of the war started by the Russian Federation led by Putin is the eastern front, and especially the Donetsk region. This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevaty, on the air of the telethon.

"The Eastern Front remains the main epicenter of the Ukrainian-Russian war, and the Donetsk region, especially the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, is the epicenter of this front. Here, the enemy continues to attack and destroy with all types of artillery, rocket salvo systems, and aviation," Cherevaty said.

According to his data, the invaders attacked Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk direction seven times with the help of aircraft in the past day. However, the Ukrainian military is giving a decent response to the Russians.

"In particular, in the Horlivka area, five enemy armored vehicles were destroyed, and four were significantly damaged. In the Mayorsk area, the enemy also suffered significant losses. The fact that the enemy is suffering losses indicates that their units… are firing like cannonballs meat…", Cherevaty added.

  • The occupiers have been unsuccessfully trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region for four months. At the end of September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the most difficult situation is in the Donetsk region. There, the Armed Forces are doing everything possible to deter the enemy because Donbas is the number one target at the front for Ukraine.
  • According to Serhiy Cherevaty, as of November 5, about 30,000 Russian troops were concentrated in the Bakhmut direction.
