On the night of June 20 and into the following day, several Ukrainian regions—including Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia—came under intense Russian drone strikes, artillery shelling, and rocket attacks. The assaults resulted in multiple injuries and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.
Kharkiv region
Kharkiv and its suburbs were hit by a massive drone strike targeting the Shevchenkivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts as well as the Kharkiv district. The State Emergency Service (SES) reported on Facebook that “four people sought medical assistance, including two girls aged 12 and 17.”
The strikes sparked fires at four locations, with the roof of an unfinished six-story building burning over 1,000 square meters.
“Structural elements of an outbuilding covering 10 square meters and three hangars at an enterprise covering 1,500 square meters caught fire,” the SES added.
Several multi-apartment residential buildings and passenger cars were damaged, highlighting the toll on civilians.
