Yastremska took the initiative from the outset. With an early break, she quickly pulled ahead in the score (3:0). Yastremska won three more games in a row and closed the set in just 25 minutes.
The key to Yastremska's victory in the match was her performance on her first serve (82% points won). Additionally, she hit 2 aces and made fewer unforced errors.
The second set followed a similar script. Yastremska led 3:0 with two breaks, but lost a game on her own serve to Podoroska in the fourth game.
It went to a tiebreak, where Yastremska showed no mercy to the Argentine player, winning confidently (7:1).
