Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, notes that Russian occupiers are attempting to destroy the Ukrainian economy in an effort to influence the psychological state of Ukrainians.

During a television marathon, while discussing the enemy's nighttime attack, he mentioned that this time the enemy used a small number of rockets.

"The enemy struck. A few rockets this time... both from the air and sea-based platforms. There are also fragments falling near Kryvyi Rih, where the enemy directed the airbase-based Kh-59 rockets," Ignat remarked.

He emphasized that the enemy's aviation activity is currently quite high, especially in the southern direction, in the waters of the Azov Sea, and in the Kherson region.

"Enemy aviation is active. That's also very dangerous. Just like tonight, the Kh-59 missiles were launched from Su-34 aircraft. There could be further use of these missiles in the southern and eastern regions," the spokesperson noted.

When asked about the significance of the enemy using a small number of missiles compared to the previous nights of intensive shelling, Ignat pointed out that the occupiers have their own tasks and objectives, specific targets they are trying to hit and destroy.

"The enemy gradually, methodically keeps Ukraine under tension, keeps our Defense Forces and the Ukrainian people in suspense, destroying our civil infrastructure. We have seen this with the ports in the Odessa region and in other areas. Grain, other food products. This is the face of Russia, which has orchestrated multiple famines here. Now it continues this work," Ignat said.

He added that last year it was the energy sector, and now it's the food sector.

"The enemy is attempting to destroy our economy and thus influence the overall psychological state of our people," the spokesperson noted.
