Fighters on the front line are already using French Caesar self-propelled howitzers.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny.
He recalled that Caesar is a new generation self-propelled artillery mount, which makes it possible to hit the enemy 20 km or more from the front line with high accuracy.
According to Zaluzhny, these self-propelled guns are on a wheeled chassis, which makes them mobile and maneuverable.
Also, the installation is equipped with an automated system of self-binding and homing to the target and has a fairly high rate of fire - 5 rounds per minute and high fire accuracy.
The self-propelled guns can use several types of 155 mm ammunition, which are used in NATO countries.
"Caesar ensures the survivability of the crew and comfortable working conditions. It makes it possible to act according to the principle: fire - maneuver - fire. Our gunners quickly mastered the new self-propelled guns, in fact, in 2-3 hours. I am sincerely grateful to the partners for their assistance! It serves to bring our victory closer", - said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
