At PJSC Zaporizhstal, a complete power outage occurred on December 23 due to massive Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, leading to an emergency shutdown of production.
This was reported by the company’s press service.
The company stated that it carried out an urgent switch to alternative power sources and safely halted production processes.
Zaporizhstal emphasized that a technological accident was avoided and emissions into the atmosphere were minimized.
“There is no threat to the life or health of employees or residents. Production will resume once external power supply is restored,” the company said.
