President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree by which he put into effect the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council against 164 individuals and 85 legal entities, in particular, those related to PMC Wagner.
This is stated in the decree on the website of the Office of the President.
Thus, the list of sanctioned legal entities includes, in particular, the company M Invest, which is controlled by the founder of PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin. As the US Treasury notes, this company serves as a cover for Wagner's operations in Sudan. Meroe Gold Co, a sub-account of M Invest, along with managers Andriy Mandel and Mikhail Potepkin, were also included in the list.
Hong Kong-registered companies Shine Dragon Group Limited and Zhe Jiang Jiayi Small Commodities Trade Company Limited, which are also under US sanctions, were also sanctioned. In particular, according to the US Treasury, these companies, together with another company in 2018-19 helped the founder of PVK "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin conduct transactions worth more than 7.5 million dollars.
On the list, other companies related to Wagner and Prigozhin include the Chinese Changsha Tianyi Space Science and Technology Research Institute Co. Ltd and registered in the CAR Sewa Security Services. As the US Treasury notes, the latter company is directly controlled by "Wagner" and protects top officials of the Central African Republic.
Another "Wagner" company, which operates in the Central African Republic, is the "Community of Officers for International Security". She was placed under sanctions with the director of the "commonwealth," Alexander Ivanov.
Regarding personal sanctions, the list includes Prigozhin's daughters, Veronika and Polina, and the heads of legal entities, which are classified under sanctions by the same decree. For example, Igor Lavrenkov, the director of Shine Dragon Group Limited and is responsible for relations with M Invest.
