Interpipe delivers pipes for Spain’s biodiesel plant

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe continues to strengthen its position in the European market for products used in “green” technology facilities. In November, the company completed the supply of line pipes for a promising energy project focused on producing second-generation biodiesel in southern Spain.

This was reported in the company’s press release.

The facility belongs to one of Spain’s leading energy giants, which is actively expanding its capacity to produce fuel from used cooking oil and agricultural waste. This type of biodiesel significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and contributes to the decarbonization of the EU’s energy sector.

For the implementation of the project, Interpipe supplied 350 tonnes of pipes with diameters ranging from 203.2 mm to 355.6 mm, meeting the ASTM A-106 GR 6 standard. These pipes will form the pipeline used to transport biofuel at the new plant.

“Since decarbonization has become a mainstream, which significantly impacts the European market, more and more global energy companies are launching "green" projects in renewable energy and alternative fuels. Interpipe is continually seeking new segments and developing new products. This project has become first in this niche, marking the beginning of our further partnership with this client,” said Jorge Ruiz, Pipe Sales Manager for European Markets at Interpipe.
