Interpipe, the Ukrainian steel pipe and railway products manufacturer, continues to strengthen its presence in Europe’s infrastructure sector with a growing portfolio of bridge projects. The company’s recent projects span from a railway bridge in Slovakia to the suspension bridge over the Gulf of Izmit in Türkiye. This year, Interpipe added a new bridge for Germany’s A143 highway to its portfolio.

The bridge over the Saale River, currently under construction, will form part of a new bypass road near the city of Halle. Interpipe secured an order for 300 tons of construction pipe for the project. The batch includes 219 mm diameter line pipes manufactured to EN 10210, EN 10297, EN 10216-3 standards, and referencing DBS 918002.

Marcel Schmitz, Pipe Sales Manager for European Markets at Interpipe, highlighted the strategic importance of such projects:

“Germany is a major economic and transport hub in Europe, so the country depends on reliable transport routes. Most of local highway and train bridges were built over 40-50 years ago and need thorough reconstruction or rebuilding. So, in the coming years, we hope to contribute to other similar projects included in the German state roads renovation plan, supported by our key customers in Germany.”

Founded in Ukraine, Interpipe supplies steel pipes and railway products to more than 50 countries worldwide. Its sales offices in Europe, North America, and the Middle East support a broad international customer base. In 2024, Interpipe delivered 511 kt of pipes and 115 kt of railway products, marketed under the KLW brand.
