Ukraine needs to receive the necessary amount of weapons as soon as possible, especially the ones that will help protect the civilian population. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk in an interview with a Slovak TV channel. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the enemy is driven to despair, so it is ruthless. Including to the civilian population. A clear example of this is the New Year’s air attacks on civilian facilities in the capital and other cities of Ukraine.
“We understand that the aggressor has nowhere to retreat. But we as a government have neither moral nor political right to give up even an inch of our land or our interests. Too high a price has already been paid,†she said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, all global processes are now in such a motion that it is extremely difficult to predict the consequences of any action or inaction. Therefore, we need to stand on the bright side of good and history.
“And I am convinced that all our partners are on this side. They need a little more determination. As for us, we are motivated, we have inner strength and we know what to do. But we lack weapons and support right here and now. And if the assistance of partners only increases, then in 2023 there will be a turning point. I believe in it,†Iryna Vereshchuk summed up.
