Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian troops have lost up to 50% of their military equipment. We are talking about heavy weapons.
This is a mathematical estimate that can be made based on the length of the front line and the intensity of the war.
The commander of the logistics of the Command of the Ground Forces, Vladimir Karpenko, spoke about this in an interview with National Defense.
âI wonât talk about anti-tank guided missiles or anti-tank guided weapons yet. Iâm talking only about heavy weapons. Today we have about 30-40%, and sometimes up to 50% of equipment losses as a result of active battles. Thus, we have lost about 50% lost about 1,300 infantry fighting vehicles, 400 tanks and 700 artillery systems," Karpenko said.
âThis is a mathematical estimate that we can make based on the length of the front line and the intensity of the conflict. So, think about it. If the need for artillery systems is 700 units, then they need to be replenished since they were destroyed,â the representative of the Ground Forces added.
