In particular, the Japanese Ambassador handed over a congratulatory letter from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Naruhito addressed to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the 31st anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine's Independence.

As Sibiga noted, together with the ambassador, all the main issues of bilateral relations and interaction between Ukraine and Japan within the UN framework were considered.

"From Japan's unprecedented military support for our state (for the first time in the post-war history of this country, they provide us with much-needed non-lethal military assistance at the front), sanctions against the aggressor state (Tokyo has already introduced 13 such packages of sanctions), nuclear (cynical blackmail of Russia at the ZNPP) and food security to macro-financial assistance (a US$600 million concessional emergency financial assistance loan), humanitarian assistance (currently US$300 million), to the Fast Recovery Plan, and the 2,000 Ukrainians who sheltered Japan from Russian aggression," Sibiga said.

The situation in Japan:

On August 21, 2022, Japan announced that it could deploy 1,000 long-range cruise missiles to enhance its capabilities and counter China.

To do this, it is planned to modify the missile with a range of 100 km to increase it to 1000 km. Weapons will be deployed around the southern Nansei Islands. It will be able to reach the coastal regions of North Korea and China.

Japan has increased its military spending in recent years. Despite this, the country has refrained from deploying long-range missiles due to restrictions on weapons that can hit targets on foreign land.
