Japanese Justice Minister Ryuji Koizumi has arrived in Kyiv to explore opportunities for further collaboration in judicial reform and anti-corruption efforts, according to the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine via X (formerly Twitter).

On August 5, Minister Koizumi arrived in Ukraine and plans to hold a series of meetings with colleagues to discuss ways to advance cooperation in these key areas. During his visit, Koizumi also toured the Central House of Culture in Irpin, which was severely damaged by Russian shelling in the early days of the full-scale war.

The Japanese Justice Minister, alongside Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, visited the memorial for victims of Russian forces in Bucha and the coordination center for supporting victims and witnesses in Bucha, which provides assistance to those affected by the war.
