The city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe, with widespread power outages, gas supply disruptions, and limited access to water.
According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, nearly half of the city is without electricity due to ongoing shelling. In the Santiurynivka neighborhood, 1,900 buildings have no gas, and restoring the supply is currently impossible. Water is available only once a day, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., covering just 20–25% of the city’s needs.
Drone strikes have also forced the suspension of city bus services, and the suburban route to Druzhkivka is operating on a limited basis.
The city has installed seven water tanks and eleven containers, and twelve wells are operating, six of them equipped with filtration systems.
Five Points of Invincibility are functioning, with two more on standby.
Despite the dire situation, medical staff, utility workers, police, and local authorities continue their work.
“The enemy is systematically destroying critical infrastructure. Evacuation is not just a choice—it’s a matter of survival,” Filashkin emphasized.
