During the night of January 13, the Russians attacked fifteen critical infrastructure facilities.

This was announced at a briefing by the Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Kostiantyn Kovalchuk.

“Last night, the enemy attacked 15 critical infrastructure sites, including thermal power plants and combined heat and power plants in various regions,” Kovalchuk said.

He noted that in Kyiv, 472 buildings are without heating, most of them in the Pecherskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. All local repair teams, as well as emergency crews from other regions, have been mobilized to restore heating.

At the same time, Kovalchuk emphasized that the night attack did not affect the operation of Kyiv’s water supply and sewage systems.

Overall across Ukraine, despite the attacks, 98.5% of residential buildings and more than 99% of social infrastructure facilities remain connected to heating.
