In an interview during a national telethon, the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, discussed a special operation conducted by Ukrainian military intelligence special forces in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
"The importance of this special operation, first and foremost, is for people to believe ― not only people on the mainland territory of Ukraine, but also in Crimea ― for them to remember and believe that victory is not far off. And their liberation is also not far off," said the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
According to him, the citizens of Ukraine in Crimea have not been forgotten.
"No one intends to leave them there just like that. And when certain strikes are conducted on the territory of Crimea, this won't be the end of it ― there will be a ground operation, there will be the return of our territories. Soon everyone will witness the return home," emphasized Major General Kyrylo Budanov
