Official Tehran supports the attack by Hamas militants on Israel and considers these actions as legitimate resistance to "occupiers."
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made this statement in his address on Iranian state television.
In his speech, he expressed admiration for the actions of the Palestinians who "rose up against cruelty" and initiated the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation, which refers to the recent attack on Israel.
"Undoubtedly, the Zionist regime (the official term Iran uses for Israel) and its sponsors are responsible for the security risks to the region's states and should be held accountable. The Islamic Republic [Iran] approves of the legitimate self-defense of the Palestinian nation," Raisi's statement was quoted by Iranian media.
