A specialised complex for the processing, packaging, and storage of mineral fertilisers will be built near Odessa on the Kyiv highway by Global Ocean Link and Timac Agro Ukraine.

The joint project involves the construction of a 6,000 m² steel-frame facility with a simultaneous storage capacity of 30,000 tonnes of bulk products. The first stage will include the reception, packaging, and logistics handling of fertilisers, with future plans to expand into a full-scale production site. The partners aim to reach an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes within the next three years.

Construction is scheduled for completion in May 2026, and the contract between the companies has been signed for five years.

“This project became possible thanks to trust, resilience, and a shared vision with our partners at Global Ocean Link. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and the war, we are moving forward — this is a sign of faith in the country, its people, and the global role of Ukraine’s agricultural sector,” said Yevhen Dontsov, CEO of Timac Agro Ukraine.

“This is another step in implementing our strategy of deep integration into the client’s business and further development of 4PL solutions. The import and further processing of mineral fertilisers is one of the key growth areas of Ukraine’s economy,” commented Pavlo Lynnyk, CEO of Global Ocean Link.

The facility will be located 20 kilometres from Odessa, near the Kyiv highway, with access to the main seaports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi. This location will ensure operational flexibility, minimal transport costs, and reduced security risks.

GOL highlights the effective attraction of international investment into Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure and the development of the Built-to-Suit (BTS) model, where GOL acts as both developer and operator.

The main areas of operation for the complex will include the import and transit of fertilisers by sea, rail, and road; bulk and packaged transshipment (in 500–1200 kg big bags, hoppers, and open wagons); blending of granulated fertilisers; and storage with guaranteed quotas and reliable service during peak seasons.

Global Ocean Link has operated in the field of multimodal and container transport since 2009.

Timac Agro Ukraine is a subsidiary of the French Groupe Roullier, which has been active in Ukraine for over 12 years and specialises in developing innovative solutions for soil and plant nutrition.
