In the past 24 hours, several regions in Ukraine have suffered deadly attacks and significant damage due to ongoing Russian military strikes, local authorities reported.

Kherson Region

In the Kherson region, Russian forces launched attacks involving drones, artillery, and airstrikes on numerous communities, including Antonivka, Komyshany, Inzhenerne, Sadove, and Kherson city itself, among others. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, confirmed that the strikes resulted in three fatalities and 11 injuries.

The attacks damaged five multi-story buildings, 13 private houses, a cellular tower, and several private vehicles, causing significant destruction to civilian infrastructure.

Mykolaiv Region

On May 29, the Russian military targeted the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with FPV drone strikes, damaging a residential house, according to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration. Later that morning, at 10:05 AM, a presumed Iskander-M ballistic missile struck the Horokhiv community, injuring four people. A 40-year-old man died en route to the hospital, while the three others remain hospitalized in stable but severe condition.

The missile strike also damaged a grain elevator, a hangar, and farm equipment. Additional FPV drone attacks were carried out over Ochakiv and nearby waters, but no casualties were reported.

Donetsk Region

Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, reported that Russian forces killed one civilian and injured 10 others in the region on May 29. The deceased was a resident of Kostiantynivka.

Filashkin highlighted that the official casualty figures for Donetsk (3,227 killed and 7,213 injured) do not include losses in Mariupol and Volnovakha, indicating the overall toll may be higher.

Sumy Region

Between the morning of May 29 and May 30, Russian forces shelled communities in Sumy nearly 100 times, deploying guided aerial bombs, multiple rocket launchers, drone-dropped grenades, and missile strikes.

The attacks damaged residential houses and civilian infrastructure facilities in the Seredyno-Buda, Khotin, and Sumy communities. Despite the heavy shelling, no casualties were reported. Authorities evacuated 51 people from border communities during the day amid a 13-hour air raid alert.

Kharkiv

Kharkiv was hit early on May 30 by a series of Russian drone strikes targeting a trolleybus depot. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that eight drones struck the municipal transport enterprise, damaging at least 38 trolleybuses, depot buildings, and nearby residential windows.

Three women were injured—two suffered acute stress reactions and one sustained physical wounds. A war crimes investigation has been initiated under the supervision of the Slobidsky District Prosecutor’s Office.

Donetsk Region — Bilozerske

In Bilozerske, Donetsk region, Russian forces struck a five-story residential building with a Geran-2 drone in the early hours of May 30, causing a fire. A 40-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy inside the building sustained injuries, including mine-explosive wounds and carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Pokrovsk District Prosecutor’s Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident as a war crime.
