Mykolaiv region will receive more than €40 million from Sweden and Denmark for projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the modernization of water and heat supply systems, among other areas.
According to the Mykolaiv Regional Development Agency, the relevant agreements were signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk.
“As a result of the conference, Mykolaiv region signed a number of cooperation memorandums providing for the allocation of funds for infrastructure projects,” the statement said.
In particular, the NEFCO company will co-finance projects in the Bashtanka, Novyi Buh, Koblivka, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk, Pivdennoukrainsk, and Mykolaiv communities.

Overall, the region will receive more than €40 million from Sweden and Denmark for energy efficiency projects, renewable energy development, modernization of water and heat supply systems, street lighting, and other important community-level initiatives.
“Such large-scale events always deliver significant results. This time, the region attracted a substantial amount of grant funding that will be directed toward improvement and recovery so that people can return home and have access to better-quality services across all sectors,” said Olha Nikolayevych, Deputy Director of the Agency.
